New Delhi: On Tuesday, All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) held protest outside Supreme Court over the clean chit given to Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi over sexual allegation complaint. The protest turned violent after the women who were held dharna by shouting slogans tried to break barricades and some of the courted arrest.
Brinda Karat, CPI (M) leader and former President of AIDWA alleged the Supreme Court procedure over the matter to be unjust. She accused the SC procedure as ‘unjust’ where the victim is not given chance to posses the report. The in-house -committee set up by the CJI dismissed the allegation over sexual harassment raised by a former SC employee as baseless.
