Malappuram: Muslim League has passed a resolution expressing dissatisfaction over the Ayodhya remark made by the Congress leaders. The crucial meeting convened by League leaders after Congress welcomed the Bhoomi Pooja for constructing Ram temple at RamJanma Bhumi in Ayodhya. Though conveyed discontent, League set to take the stand not to promote further discussion over the lenient attitude of Congress to Ayodhya.
Senior party leader PK Kunnalikutty said Priyanka Gandhi’s statement over ‘Bhumi pooja’ ‘was not fit to the situation’.
Senior League leader E T Muhammad Basheer conveyed the opinion that the Muslim League has been not intended to promote the discussion over Babri Masjid. That does not mean the party agrees to the verdict on Babri Masjid, added Muhammad Basheer. The stand taken by League will be marked in history, said Basheer.
The party made discussion over the matter with other parties with secular ideologies. League leaders said. The League would not like to create a community split by launching more discussion over the matter. the League leaders reinforced.
