On Tuesday, Congress President Rahul Gandhi set his party’s steps for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections at the Congress Working Committee meeting in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad. He even hit at RSS and BJP and said that they follow the ideology of ‘fascism, hatred, anger and divisiveness.’
Congress Chief said in a tweet that “No sacrifice is too great in this endeavour;no effort too little;this battle will be won,” Rahul Gandhi’s statements comes after talks for alliance with other parties in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.
In UP, Samajwadi party and the Bahujan Samaj party are contesting the polls together and Rashtriya Lok Dal is also a part of the alliance. Though Aam Aadmi party tried for an alliance with Congress, but however Delhi Congress was not in favour for the alliance. So Aam Aadmi party decided to contest alone in the polls.
While addressing the CWC meet, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh pointed that the party should highlight the major developments and the achievements of the UPA government which was in power from 2004 to 2014.
UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi made a scathing attack towards PM Modi and said that he plays victim card but the people of the country are the real victims of his policies. The Congress party targeted the Modi government over several issues including demonetisation, GST,Rafale deal and unemployment.
