New Delhi: The Union Minister of State for External affairs and Parliamentary affairs V Muraleedhran dismissed the state government claim that the Centre congratulated the state over measures taken to address COVID 19. He said the Centre did not praise the state instead welcomed the decision to follow practical procedures by changing its previous attitude.
Kerala is in the 28th position in testing COVID. There is reportedly lower number of the infected in the state as the tests conducted in the state are lower.
He said Truenat tests cannot be conducted as it is impractical to conduct such tests in the Gulf Countries.
Unleashing scathing criticism on the Chief Minister, Muraleedhran said COVID cannot be curbed by PR work and the fund which is spending for the PR work should be spent for addressing the pandemic. He scornfully rejected the Chief Minister’s statement that the expatriates from the Gulf are the ‘super spreaders’.
