Islamabad: Four persons including one security guard and three militants were reportedly killed in a terror attack at a high end hotel in the port city Gwadar, in Islamabad Province of Baluchistan, in Pakistan. The armed outfits violated the security of highly safeguarded Pearl Continental Hotel at 4.50 pm on Saturday killing a security guard who tried to block them.
The navy and army soldiers engaged in the operation for hours till the three militants were killed. The terrorists were reportedly belonged to the banned outfit Baloch Liberation Army (BLA). No causalities are reported in the attack so far.
On Saturday three-member gang was barged to the hotel and the army reported to have besieged the hotel. The gunfight prolonged up to 8.15 pm till the terrorists were killed. The residents at hotel including the foreigners were shifted safely before the gunfight commenced, Balochistan government spokes person Zahoor Baledi reportedly told.
Balochistan, the largest Province in Pakistan is strategically significant where projects like China-Pak economic corridor are setting up.
