Kottayam: Factional conflict in Kerala Congress started broiling since the death of KM Mani, the founder Chair Man to have reached currently at an open fight between Jose K Mani and PJ Joseph over mustering up state committee.
Jose K Mani reiterated state committee a must to have decided the Chairman. Even as PJ Joseph rejected the opinion to be insignificant and said that there is no need of state committee to convene to decide over the appointments on key representatives.
Responding over the in fighting in party, Jose K Mani dismissed the allegation over rift in the party. Even as he rejected the statement made by senior leader PJ Joseph that state committee meeting is not mandated to fill chief positions in the party.
He said state committee to be convened on deciding appointments to important positions- Chairman, Vice Chairman and Deputy Chairman. Majority in the state committee support Jose K Mani and that may help Mani group to grip the chairman position. But Joseph faction is sturdy over his stand on not accepting Jose K Mani as party chairman.
