Kasaragod: On Thursday, Chief Election Commissioner Teeka Ram Meena announced re-polling on May 19 in four booths in Kalliasseri and Trikaripur assembly segments where bogus voting confirmed to have taken place in phase fourth in Lok Sabha poll held in the state on April 23. The booth number 19, 69, 70 in Kalliasseri assembly segment and both number 48 in Trikaripur assembly segment will undergo re-polling on May19. The poll body decided to be held re-polling under section (58).
State Election Commissioner announced the poll body’s decision that the political parties are allowed to be held public campaigning till Friday at 5 pm,
Even as the Congress stepped up to have taken more stringent measures in launching legal move over the alleged bogus voting in Kannur and the party leadership has already submitted 42 petitions over the bogus voting to the collector. The Kannur DCC is all set to move ahead with legal action against the fake voting even after the election results are out.
