No police check post at Pamba, DGP

DGP said there will not be any police check post at Pamba at Sabarimala.  The decision was made in the back drop of Supreme Court recent verdict to have passed for the consideration of wider bench consisting of 7 members. Though the court made no stay over the verdict pronounced in last year which allowed women entry at Sabarimala, the state police withdrew help for women to trek Sabarimala.

Ernakulum: State Police Chief Loknath Behra is to meet Advocate General and Director General of Prosecution over Sabarimala verdict today at Kochi.

DGP said there will not be any police check post at Pamba at Sabarimala.  The decision was made in the back drop of Supreme Court recent verdict to have passed for the consideration of wider bench consisting of 7 members. Though the court made no stay over the verdict pronounced in last year which allowed women entry at Sabarimala, the state police withdrew help for women to trek Sabarimala.

DGP said if woman arrives at Sabarimala that would be handled with the then circumstance. Appropriate action will be taken against woman who arrives at Sabarimala hill shrine in this pilgrim season, Behra said.
