NewDelhi: Malala Yusuf Zai, the youngest Nobel Laureate expressed wary over the children and women in Kashmir over the scrapping of article 370. Malala’s response came out days after India decided to abrogate article 370 and bifurcate Kashmir in to two parts.
The youngest Nobel laureate, Malala lamented over the unchangeable situation in Kashmir since the birth of her grandparents. She tweeted, “The people of Kashmir have lived in conflict since I was a child. Since my mother and father were young, since my grant parents were young.” Malala urged international community to establish peace in the region.
She said in her tweet her concern over Kashmir that South Asia is her ‘home with billions 1.8 sharing it’ with “different cultures, religions and languages”. The 22–year-old Malala said the people cannot continue to suffer and hurt each other. The called on international community and concerned authorities to” respond to their suffering”.
