Ameti: Rahul Gandhi, who reached in Ameti after the LokSabha election results on Wednesday, alleged the local leaders over his defeat in the constituency, a home bastion. He said to have told at a meeting that he would not leave the constituency which for him is ‘home ‘and ‘family’.
He said to have told though he is the MP from Wayanad he would fight for the development of Ameti in parliament. He has 3-decade long bond with the constituency which is strong Congress bastion.
Gandhi was defeated by Union Minister Smrithi Irani to 55,000 votes in Ameti, the constituency he represents since 2004.
