Kasaragode: The defeat faced by Shanimol Usman in Alapuzha LokSabha constituency, the sitting seat of the party is to be probed, KPCC President Mullapally Ramachandran said at a press conference held at Kasaragode. Congress whisked-off all the 19 seats out of the 20 seats in the state in concluding LokSabha election. A committee headed by KV Thomas, former MP is entrusted to have probed over the defeat incurred by Shanimol Usman in Lok Sabha election and PC Krishnadas and KV Kunnikannan are included in the committee. A comprehensive probe over the defeat of Shanimol Hussain was demanded at the first meeting of the party office bearers after the LokSabha election.
The defeat faced by Shanimol Usman is ‘unbelievable’ and ‘unfortunate’ and no meaning in accusing leaders over the defeat, instead a comprehensive probe is needed. Mullappaly added. Party lacked vigilance over the incident.
KPCC President said Shasi Tharoor, the senior Congress leader and Thiruvananthapuram MP, will probe over the cyber attack against AK Antony. Mullapally said a leader like Antony should not be isolated.
