Kozhikode: The district put under strict COVID alert after a fish merchant in Valiyangadi, the biggest fish market in north Kerala in the district, tested positive for the pandemic. The police asked corporation to cancel the license of 17 shops in the area after they violated the COVID guidelines. A health squad has been formed to conduct search in the market place to know whether the people breaching the COVID guidelines.
The vendor confirmed COVID reportedly visited the shop on last day too. His father also went in to observation and around 20 persons in connection with the person belongs to his contact list. The health squad and police are keen on conducting search operations to check whether people breach COVID rules.
