London/Kerala: With Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) listed in London stock exchange on today at around 12 pm local time, it became the first state-level firm to be listed (LSE) from India . Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, the first ever chief minister from the nation who opened London stock Exchange (LSE) for trade by ringing the iconic bell. Pinarayi was reportedly invited by the LSE to be opened the stock exchange.
KIIFB is a statutory body owned by the state government to mobilize funds for infrastructural development in the state. KIIFB is listed in Masala bonds valued Rs 21.5 billion in London stock exchange’s International securities market.
Finance Minister Thomas Issac and senior officials were present at the function.
