A study revealed that ketogenic diet is good for infants with genetic epilepsy rather than other type of epilepsy. The journal ‘Scientific Report’ revealed. Ketogenic diet found to be effective for children below three years with drug resistant epilepsy, the study says. It is preferable to offer kinetic diet for infants diagnosed with genetic epilepsy much earlier when it is known that patient is not responding to anticonvulsant medication.
Low carbohydrate, high protein protein-restricted diet is strictly medically supervised. It is preferable for epilepsy that is not responding to medications.
