Thiruvananthapuram: The assembly session will convene on August 24. The decision was taken to assemble the Assembly on the day of the Rajya Sabha elections.
The agreement was reached at the cabinet meeting held today. The meeting decided to counsel to the Governor to call a meeting of the House. The main purpose of the session is to pass the Finance Bill.
The Opposition had also given notice of the no-confidence motion during the last session. Postpone the meeting scheduled for July 27 in the Kovid situation.
Allegations of gold smuggling and the Life Mission project have been associated with the Chief Minister’s Office.
The opposition will try to use the allegations and court debates as political weapons against the government. Although the no-confidence motion is sure to fail, the Opposition’s aim is to defend the government politically.
