New Delhi: The union territory of Jammu and Kashmir will have Lieutenant governor as its ruling head. The union territory has 10 percent strength of ministers of it’s total members in the legislative assembly.The Chief Minister will be the head of assembly to advise and help lieutenant governor in the exercise of his power to make laws. Seats will be reserved for the scheduled caste and Scheduled tribes in the assembly as per the bill to abrogate and bifurcate. Kashmir.
The union territory of Kashmir will have 107 seats and after delimitation it will be increased to 114 seats. Ladak will be a separate union territory with no legislator and it has four seats include Kargil and Leh districts. The delimitation of the constituencies will be decided by election commission as per the Jammu and Kashmir reorganization bill 2019 introduced by Home Minister Amith Shah.
