Bengaluru: Karnataka assembly is to meet today amid the broiling issue of MLAs resignation. The ten rebel MLAs submitted resignation letter to the speaker were left for Mumbai and they would likely to skip assembly session. The rebel MLAs take stand, why they should attend assembly as they have already submitted resignation.
The speaker is not taken decision over the resignation letter submitted by the rebel MLAs so far. Meanwhile Congress issued a whip to the 79 MLAs and among them 69 MLAs are now in Karnataka.
The plea submitted by the MLAs and Speaker at Supreme Court will be considered today. The MLAs submitted plea over not deciding over their resignations by the speaker even after days passed after declared resignation. The MLAs said they are not intimidated and have reasons behind their resignation which has not so far changed. At the same time the speaker field plea at the Supreme Court to seek more time on deciding the resignation letters of the MLAs to check whether they are led by genuine reasons or forced by. The speaker is pointed out the right to delay resignation under certain the circumstance the MLAs are forced for resignation and citing the law speaker approached Supreme Court.
