Ernakulum: Women Collective in Cinema (WCC), an organization formed to fight for the right of women working in the Malayalam film industry is on the edge of wreak. The inner conflict in this women organization raked up ever since the organization has been formed. The organization formed by a group of women after the actress abducted and assaulted case in which actor Dileep is an accused, and Manju warrior was Director Vidhu Vincent, one of the founding members of the organization stepped out and cited reasons over dissent with some of the members in the organization that paved her way out.
Vidhu in her resignation letter posted on Face book, said the rift in relation with members of the organization like Parvathy Theruvothu and Reema Kallingal forced her to go out. Parvathy did not even give her a reply as she asked her to co-operate with her film project ‘Stand up’. Vidhu alleged Reema Kallingal to have justified Parvathy when she asked about the double stand taken by the organization on co-operating with persons connected to actor Dileep. Parvathy acted in the film ‘Uyere’ with actor Sidhique who has ever been openly supported actor Dileep and visited him at jail several times. The organization questioned Vidhu when the film ‘Stand up’ directed by her was produced by B Unnikrishnan who was the producer of the first film starring Dileep after he was back from jail.
Vidhu alleged to have the presence of an upper class group in the organization which divides people in different levels. She said she has ever been insulted by the group and no longer can continue in the organization.
