Thiruvananthapuram: Responding to the alleged aggressive attitude of chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan to the media, Congress MLA V D Satheesan jibbed he would have selected radio for his daily COVID briefing if he would have thought over the benefit of radio in evading questions.
Satheesan has drawn sarcastic comparison with PrimeMinister Narendra Modi and chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan over the alleged arrogance towards the questions asked by the media people. The Congress MLA in a lampoon called PrimeMinister Narendra Modi, ”a man with intellect and long-standing vision”, that is why he has been selected radio to address people. If the medium is radio, there is no need to fear the questions.

Miffed at the questions over his alleged nexus with gold smuggling case accused Swapan Suresh, a furious Chief Minister lashed at the media raising aloud his voice on the other day. Following that it is alleged that the social media accounts of the media people who asked questions over the gold smuggling case, were filled with scathing and remarks intend to target them personally. The incident sparked widescale protests from the media people and the public. When asked about it, Chief Minister said the remarks should take as a ‘healthy discussion’ and he would not like to interfere with it. The media people have lodged a complaint to the DGP and Chief Minister over the matter.
