Thiruvananthapuram: India Meteorological Department has alerted isolated heavy rain in Kerala for the next four days, till August 5. The IMD declared yellow alert in 10 districts in the state.
Yellow alert sounded for Alapuzha,Ernakulum, Idukki, Kottayam, Thrissur, Kozhikode,Wayanad,Kannur and Kasaragod.
The IMD forecasted the formation of a low-pressure area at the Bay of Bengal at the end of August the first week. The low pressure formed will intensify off Odisha Coast towards the end of the week.
The whether body predicted rain ranging from 6cm to 20 cm in the state. IMD also predicted wind gushing at 40-50 KMH off and along with the coastal areas in Kerala.
