New Delhi: High Court has stayed the further proceedings in implementing Khader committee report in education sector. The Court’s decision came out over an appeal submitted by a group of Higher Secondary teachers and Headmasters against implementing Khader Commission report.
Khader Commission report which recommends integrating classes from first standard to plus 2 under one board. The state government has already implemented the report from this academic year onwards. The classes from first standard to plus 2 started simultaneously in this year. The court imposed a stay over further proceedings of the government move to implement Khader Commission report.
The state government decision over the speedy implementation of khader Commission is sparked protest from opposition, teachers and students. The opposition strongly opposed the implementation of Khader commission on the ground of affecting the life of teachers and students. The recommendations forwarded by the commission cannot be accepted with detailed discussion over the matter, opposition said.
The teachers protested implementing the commission’s recommendations alleged to be derogative affect over the promotion of the teachers particularly that of headmasters. The school will have a principal and vice- principal as head of the institution according to the Khader Commission.
