The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issued guidelines for gyms and yoga centres which will reopen from August 5. Those in containment zones, still, will remain shut
“Use of face covers/masks is mandatory at all times within the premises. However, during yoga exercise or exercising in gymnasiums, as far as possible only a visor may be used. Use of mask (in particular N-95 masks) during exercise may cause difficulty in breathing”, states the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The guidelines ask to reduce physical contact between staff and visitors at yoga centres and gyms. Spas, sauna, steam bath and swimming pools are other facilities are not allowed to be resumed.
Major precautions to be taken are;
Individuals must maintain a minimum distance of 6 feet as far as possible.
Use of face covers/masks is mandatory at all times within the premises.
Practice frequent hand washing with soap (for at least 40-60 seconds)
Use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers (for at least 20 seconds) is mandatory
Spitting is strictly prohibited
Details of check-in and check-out times of members and visitors must be listed along with the name, address and phone number
Common exercise mats should be avoided
Every room, lockers, shower rooms etc should be sanitized frequently
Usage of Aarogya Setu application is mandatory for all who enters into the gymnasiums and yoga centres
