Happy news for that parent’s who was in search of an option to limit their kid’s dependency on their smart phones. With Google’s family Link, now parents can set limits when they feel like it’s time for them to take a break.
This link will enable parents to locate their kids through their devices.
Reportedly, the Family Link is available only for android users and anyone with an existing Google account. Originally, this feature was meant for kids below 13. But, now it can be used for older people.
If used for anyone above 13, the technology needed consent from both parties.
If the account holder doesn’t allow the monitoring, they can decide not to share their password with their parents and even opt out. And if these kids opt so, this will put the phone on a 24-hour lock down. Soon, parents can avail Google Assistant to lock the devices of their kids.
