Thiruvananthapuram: Former Kerala cricketer K N Ananthapadmanabhan, from Kerala, has been named in the ICC International umpires list. As per the reports, he will be the fourth Indian umpire on the international panel.
The Kerala Cricket Association has released this. The Thiruvananthapuram native has been an umpire in the IPL and other domestic competitions for a long time.
With the addition as a member of the ICC International Umpire Panel, he will now be able to officiate in international competitions.
Despite his excellent performances, he was never chosen to represent the Indian cricket team.
The other umpires on the international panel are C Shamsuddin, Anil Chaudhary and Virender Sharma.
Once, he was the epitome of Kerala Cricket. In first-class cricket, Anantha Padmanabhan took 344 wickets and scored 2891 runs in 105 matches.
