Ahmadabad: Cyclone Vayu intensified in to severe cyclonic storm on Tuesday and it is moving towards Gujarat to make land fall in the state on June 13 Thursday, informed India Meteorological Department. It (the cyclone Vayu) will likely to hit the state with a wind speed of 110-120 kmph around and Gale wind speed of 135 kmph in between Porbander and Mahuva, Veraval and Due regions at around 6.30 on June 13, IMD forecasted. The cyclone will gradually reduce to a speed of 50/60 kmph gusting up to 70 kmph and move over North Maharashtra coast and northern part of east central Arabian sea.
On Tuesday, India Met Department informed to have marked a low pressure area in the West Bay of Bengal which is likely to develop in to a cyclone over the 48 hours. The cyclone will move northwards and along the east coast of Sri Lanka near the north TamilNadu coast of Sri Lanka. Currently the Cyclone Vayu named by India, move the direction towards Gujarat likely to make a land fall in the state.
