Ahmadabad: Cyclone Vayu would not be made land fall in Gujarat as it altered the direction, to the north- south wards, as per the reports from Meteorological Department. The cyclone Vayu expected to lash at Gujarat on Thursday morning then changed its way reportedly to make landfall in the afternoon. Now the of late report from Meteorological Department informs Gujarat is already distanced from the way of severe cyclonic storm Vayu.
The cyclone was expected to reach at Dwarka and Verali with a wind speed of 145 to 150 kmph and a gusting to 180 kmph. The state is highly alerted on cyclone Vayu. Army, Indian Air force, Navy, National Disaster Relief Fund Teams, India Coast Guards all are highly prepared to tackle the severe cyclonic storm, likely to make land fall in the state. As per the final report from environment authority on Wednesday the cyclone to reach at Dwarka and Verali with a wind speed of 145 to 150 kmph and a gusting to 180 kmph.
