Thiruvananthapuram: Today, the state recorded 1083 new COVID cases. Of the infected, 902 persons contracted the pandemic through contact, Health Ministery issued press release informed.
The state reported three deaths today. The source of the 71 persons confirmed COVID was not identified. Thiruvananthapuram native, Janandan, who died on August 1 confirmed COID today. Kozhikode Peruval native Rajeesh,45, Gopi,69 from Kuttamasseri in Ernakulum are the deceased. The official death toll reached 87 in the state.
The number of recovery cases showed an increasing graph with 1021 cases. 11,540 people were recovered from COVID so far in the state. 11,540 are under treatment. The state declared 13 new hot spots today, and 10 hotspots are avoided. Among the COVID confirmed, 51 came from abroad and 64 from other states.
Thiruvananthapuram reported 242 fresh cases, Ernakulum reported 135cases, 131 new cases reported from Malappuram. Alapuzha 126 COVID cases and Kozhikode reported 97 cases. 91 from Kasaragod, 72 from Thrissur district, 50 from Palakkad district, 37 from Kannur, 32 from Pathanamthitta, 30 from Kollam 23 from Kottayam and 17 from Wayanad have been confirmed COVID today.
