Lucknow: Excluding the rebles and senior leaders and installing close cronies of Gandhi family, Congress has announced a seven-member Committee to meet the next assembly elections in UP when two years left for the poll. A fragile Congress in UP, which had faced fiasco in the last elections- assembly and Loksabha elections- is manking attempt to meet next assembly elections much earlier before the elections.
The senior leaders in the state politics, former union minister Jithin Prasada, Raj Babbar, the former UP Congress Chief, RP N Singh, AICC Jharkhand- in-charge have been left out from the committee formed to steer an election in the core Hindi Heartland. Amongthem . Raj Babbar, has been included among the 23 top brass who have written letter to Sonia Gandhi over leadership issues. R P N Singh had row with Rahul Gandhi during the last Loksabha election campaign when he expressed the openion that It would make negative impact to the Congress when the party personally target Modi . He reportedly had asked Rahul Gandhi at CWC meeting not to target Modi personally but attack on his policies. Miffed at this remark Rahul reportedly expressed detest and said he was not feared of Narendra Modi and will stop attacking him if the CWC asked him to do so.
The party has reportedly started preparations to form manifesto for the next assembly elections by particiapting 48 organisations in the meeting in Kapur in January this year. In an unpreccedneted way the voice of defiance echoed in the party and the move of excluding the seniors and rebels in the reshuffling of the party in UP have been marked as the characteritic of Congress to address next assembly elections.
The party which has been faced a debacle in UP, with seven seats in last assembly elections and one seat in the Loksabha elections. Party chief Rahul Gandhi lost election from Congress strong turf Amethi , which would support Gandhi family for years. Rahul had defeated to Smrithi Irani, then BJP minister. The Wayanad parliament constituency in Kerala had supported Rahul for his re-entry to the Parliament. Accepting the responsibility of party’s debacle in the Loksabha election, Rahul had stepped out as party chief which again led to choatic state in Congress. Despite party chief Rahul and party UP General Secretary Priyanka , the party had to face fiasco in the Hindi heartland. In previous assembly elections and Loksahba elections, the party met election by joing with Samajwadi party (SP). Priyanka had been appinted as General Secretary in charge to UP months ahead of last Loksabha poll, took all the weapons to capture major Hindi hearland, ended in the total debacle of the party that could win one seat in UP. Congress leader and UPA chairman Sonia Gandhi won Rae Bareli, a congress bastion with a marginal majourity of 167,173 votes despite having the support of Bahujan Samajwadi party(BSP) and Samajwadiparty (SP). She had defeated BJP leader Dinesh Prathap Singh to retain the congress turf. In 2014 Sonia had won by a marginal majourity of 3,52,713 from RaeBareli to BJP’s Ajay Singh.

Rahul had stepped out as party president after the debacle faced by the party in the Loksabha election
