Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is to visit flood- hit areas in Wayanad and Malappuram districts where massive landslides claimed 23 lives and over 50 persons are found to be missing together in Kavalappara and Puthumala. Chief Minister will reach at Karipur airport at around 9 am and will arrive at Sulthanbatheri and from there would reach at Meppadi, Puthumala and Kavalappra. He will deliberate over the situation with MPs and MLAs at Kalppatta civil station at 11.30 am. Chief Minister would visit Buthanam in Malappuram and would be attending the meeting convened at here. He would be visiting Kavalappra landslide areas which claimed the largest number of lives in flood havocs in helicopter.
