Kolkata: On Thursday evening, amid continuing post -poll violence in Bengal, Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi has been convened a meeting of four major political parties over restoring peace. This is the first time meeting called by a governor under the Mamata’s rule. On Wednesday, Governor’s press secretary said governor will call a four party meeting. Trinamool, B J P, CPI(M), Congress are called on to the meeting and it would be helped to curb the continuing violence in the state and bring back harmony in the state. The press secretary informed State Trinamool secretary general Partha Chatterjee state BJP president and MP Dilip Ghosh, CPI (M) state secretary Surjyakanta Mishra and state Congress president Somen Mitra have been invited at the meeting to be held in Rajbavan at 4 PM. Meanwhile Mamata Banerjee said her party would be taken part at the meeting and she accepted governor’s prerogative.
It is said to be, the Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi and Prime Minister Modi was assessed the situation in Bengal at a meeting in New Delhi. In the wake of the meeting with Prime Minister, Governor is called on an all party meeting to restore peace. Around six people have been lost lives of in the political violence after the Lok Sabha poll and the violence continue on unchanged.
