Thiruvananthapuram: Arjun, violinist Balabhaskar’s driver who is under shadow of suspicion over Balabhaskar’s death is reported to have arrived at Thrissur. The driver Arjun, who has given contradictory statement over the driver at the time of accident, found absconding for past few months. The Crime Branch team spearheaded by DYSP Harikrishnan put off Arjun’s interrogation till the result of blood sample test from the spot came out. It is reported to have revealed that police traced and spotted him in Assam, as per sources
Arjun said Balabhaskar is on the driving seat at the time of accident and he denied it was he who driven the car. Contrary to his own statement given to the police earlier. Lakshmi, Balabhaskar’s wife said Arjun was driven the car and she is not known why Arjun denies that.
Arjun comes under the shadow of suspicion when he changed the statement given to the police at first. He said he was driving the car on the crucial night when the car Balabhaskar’s family travelled met with an accident in which the violinist and his one-and a half year old daughter killed at Pallippuram in Trivandrum district at around 3 am.
Following Balabhaskar’s death at a hospital after one week of the accident, Arjun reportedly changed his statement and said Balabhaskar was driving the car. The case when handed to Crime Branch Arjun again changed his statement and said he cannot be not remembered who was on the driving seat.
The confusions over the driver at the time of accident continues on as several other witnesses are coming out opposing and supporting the statements forwarded by Arjun and Lakshmi. The KSRTC driver who claimed to be the eyewitness who came to the spot at first, some neighboring people and other people newly come to have claimed witnesses to the spot. All incidents are levelled at deepening the mysteries shrouding the violinist’s death.
