On Saturday, India’s Apurvi Chandela clinched the first medal in the ongoing ISSF World Cup 2019 in New Delhi.
Chandela set a new world record buy clinching the gold medal with a record score in the women’s 10m air rifle event.
Chandela scored 252.9 points to catch her third individual World Cup medal. Rouzhu Zhao of China bagged the silver medal and Xu Hong clinched the bronze medal.
Earlier, Chandela had secured a Tokyo Olympic quota with 629.3 points in the last World Championships.
