New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) came back to power in Delhi for a third consecutive term. AAP leads in 58 seats. The BJP which has been slimmed to have won four seats in the last assembly election in 2015 improved its condition by leading in 12 seats. During the Initial stage of counting votes BJP led in 20 seats. Congress bagged blank for a second consecutive term in national capital, a strong party fold.
AAP launched campaign by raising its achievements , providing electricity and education to the grass root level. The party was confidant to win election. Chief Minister Kejriwal took a passive stand over CAA protest in Shaheenbag which might have created set back to the party. In shaheenbag , party set to face an inch to inch fight with BJP and during the initial stage of the counting of votes, BJP led in Okhla where Shaheenbag included.
