On Sunday, the phase 6th in election 2019, polling is underway in 69 seats spreading across 7 states today. The elections are being held in 14 seats in Utter Pradesh, 10 seats in Haryana 7 seats in Delhi eight seats each in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal and 4 seats in Jharkhand. 1.13 lakhs polling stations are setup for the smooth undergoing of the election.
BJP won 45 seats out of the 59 seats in 2014 election while Trinamool Congress bagged 8, Congress 2, one seat each for SP, LJP. The 13 seats among the 14 seats in UP was won by BJP in last election.
10.17 Crore voters are all set to decide the fate of 979 candidates. The prominent candidates in fray include union ministers Harsh Vardhan, Maneka Gandhi, Radha Mohan Singh, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, Congress leaders Digvijay Singh and Jyotiraditya Scindia.
Voting percentage is marked in 7 states till 9am today as Bihar, 9.03%, Haryana, 3.74%, Madhya Pradesh, 4.01%, Uttar Pradesh, 6.86%, West Bengal, 6.58, Jharkhand, 12.45% and Delhi, 3.74% . President Ram Nath Kovind and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar were among the voters casted vote today.
